Exhibitions

In November 2008, Les Canaux de la Mode presented the results of a year-long collaboration between fashion designers and craftsmen. In an exhibition, that travelled from Amsterdam to Paris, 13 unique and precious artworks presented the best of the design- and craft disciplines.

In Amsterdam, the artworks were presented in Gallery Mata Hari, right in the middle of the Redlight Fashion District. The three-day-long exhibition was visited by 1500 visitors. In Paris, Les Canaux de la Mode landed in Gallery Joyce, in the prestigious jardin du Palais Royal, next to Pierre Hardy, Rick Owens and Serge Lutens. The artworks were exhibited for five days and attracted many visitors from the Parisian fashionscene as well as tourists and locals.

The concept of the exhibition was based on greenhouses - as they give the opportunity to cultivate products in cirumstances that disobey the natural environment. A striking metaphor for Les Canaux de la Mode: a safe place where good things have time and possibilities to grow…
