Nicole Emilie Roca is a paper-craftsman and artist. She graduated at the Academy of the Arts in Toulouse, at the autonomous art department. After that she received her master’s degree at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Since a couple of years, Nicole has been making objects out of paper, which she paints by hand. She likes the plasticity of paper, its pleasant and lively aspects and the unlimited possibilities it offers.
She treats the paper as if it is a high quality material, like a sculptor treats his material. The decorating of the paper is a way for Nicole to make her objects more delicate. Nicole exposed her work in Galery Joyce and in the shops “Caravanne”, “La bonneRenommee” and “Terra Rosa”. She lives and works in Toulouse.
